Rewari: A junior hockey coach has been arrested in Haryana’s Rewari district on charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl, police officials said. The accused was taken into custody following a complaint filed by the victim’s family.
According to authorities, the incident came to light after the minor reported the matter to her parents, who subsequently approached the police. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police stated that the accused is being questioned, and further investigation is underway. Officials have assured strict action in accordance with the law and emphasized that the identity of the minor is being protected as per legal provisions.
